Legal draft
Privacy Policy
This draft describes PlantWhisper's intended data practices for the web MVP and future mobile submissions. It should be reviewed before public launch.
Data we expect to collect
- Account details such as email address and authentication identifiers.
- Plant profile data such as names, species, locations, personality settings, and tag assignments.
- Plant photos and care history when users add them.
- Chat messages, generated plant responses, and care-memory summaries.
- Basic device, security, and usage logs needed to operate and protect the service.
- Subscription and purchase status when paid plans or tag kits are enabled.
How we use data
- To create and maintain plant profiles, NFC tag resolution, reminders, and chat history.
- To generate plant personality and text replies when AI features are enabled.
- To provide support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and manage subscriptions.
- To comply with legal, tax, security, and app-store obligations.
Service providers
The current architecture expects Supabase for auth, database, and storage; Cloudflare for hosting and security; OpenAI for optional text generation; ElevenLabs for optional voice replies; and Stripe or app-store billing for purchases when enabled.
User choices
Users should be able to update plant information, archive plants, request account deletion, and export or delete data where required. See the account deletion page for the public deletion request path.
Children
PlantWhisper is not intended for children under 13. Before launch, the app owner must verify the final age rating, child-directed status, and regional requirements for every store and market.
